How to design a chart in mt4

Metatrader4(mt4) platform is used for watching forex market price movement on the chart. You can watch different time frame candle on the chart. For better view of your chart, you can customize your chart by changing the color of candle and background. In this tutorial you will learn how to make attractive design of your chart.


First open your mt4 platform. Open a chart which you want to design. Click on ”Charts”. Then click on ”Properties”. You can also press F8.





You will get new window to customize your chart. In ”Colors” tab, you can change colors of the candle and background of your chart. In ”Color Scheme”, you will get three types, choose one from that. In the right side you will get options for changing the colors of background, bull candle, bear candle etc. From drop down menu, you can change your desired color.





In ”Common” tab, you will find three types of chart such as Bar chart, Candlesticks and Line chart. Most of traders use candlesticks type chart. You can take off ”Grid” function your chart. You can keep defaults other options.





Press OK and you will get a clean chart where background is white. In the chart your bull candle is white and bear candle is black.





Here is an example of an attractive chart. To make your chart like this, you need to change the color of background as ”Navajowhite”, bull candle as ”Navy”, bear candle as ”Firebricks”. Then press ”OK”, you will get your chart like below image.





Here is another example of customized chart. To make your chart like this, you need to change the color of background as ”PaleTurquoise ”, bull candle as ”Green”, bear candle as ”Red”. Then press ”OK”, you will get your chart like below image.
